Who can join?

Anybody who respects Paul Nicholls the actor, anybody who loves Paul Nicholls the man. We have also set a minimum age limit of 13.

Why an age limit?

We know lots of young kids also like Paul but we didn't want to waste too much bandwidth with hundreds of messages which just say "I think Paul's cute!!". After all, we all know he's good looking and sexy!!

So just what can I say then?

Almost anything you like! If you have any news on what he's doing; if you've seen him on TV, stage or even at your local club; if you want to comment on his work; if you want to tell us why you like him so much. Basically if it's about Paul Nicholls we want to hear you! We would, however, like you to observe the following rules, just to keep Greeny a nice place to be:

No personal abuse

If you don't agree with someone or don't like something they've said, say so politely

No pictures

Email is really NOT the way to send pictures, and most certainly not to the whole list. If you want to share pictures you can add them to our Shared Files area (see below), send them by personal Email direct to anyone who asks for them, or you could upload them direct to the Paul Nicholls Online webspace.

No SPAM, Adverts, Virus Warnings or chain letters

The Greeny club has zero tolerance for all forms of Email and Internet abuse. Anyone sending SPAM, commercial advertisements or chain letters (of any sort) will be removed from the list. For example, if you get a 'virus warning!' from someone, remember that 99.9% of all Email virus warnings are hoaxes. Before you even think about forwarding a warning to anyone, please check with an authoritative anti-virus site (such as http://www.nai.com) and if you still think it might be genuine, forward it to the list owner only, who will issue a general warning if necessary.

Write in English please

The main language of the list will be English, although we are very glad to get people from all over the world on the list.

Right then, how do I join the club?

You just enter your Email address and click the button below to subscribe, register with Yahoo Groups and providing you've got a working Email address that's it, simple!

But my friend only has Email, they can't use the Web?

No problem! Just tell them to send a blank Email to "greeny-subscribe@yahoogroups.com" and we'll take care of it - simple!

Got it! So where do I post my messages?

It will tell you when you subscribe. But in case you missed it, send all your messages to "greeny@yahoogroups.com".

Will I get loads of messages a day?

It can vary dramatically, though generally, the Email volume is quite modest, about three or four a day on average. However, if you only ever want to get just one Paul Nicholls message a day, you can set your subscription to 'Digest' - this is all described on the Yahoo Groups page when you subscribe.

You can also switch from 'Normal' to 'Digest' mode by sending a blank Email to: "greeny-digest@yahoogroups.com"

And you can switch back from 'Digest' to 'Normal' mode by sending a blank Email to: "greeny-normal@yahoogroups.com"

What was that about an Archive of messages?

All messages to Greeny are Archived and can be viewed on the Yahoo Groups pages, you can use the button on the main info page. To protect against abuse, although poster names are recorded, the Archive does NOT show a poster's full Email address.

If you want any of your messages removed from the Archive please contact the list owner. If a significant number of subscribers to Greeny do not want messages archived, the facility can be disabled.

I want more than just messages ...

In the words of an infamous advertisement campaign ... "you got it!". In addition to all the fabulous features here at Paul Nicholls Online, Yahoo Groups, who host the club, also provide several other fantastic features to make Greeny more than just an Email list. As a club member you will have exclusive access to:

• Shared Files - 20Mb of web space where we can store and exchange pictures, sound files, anything too big for an Email. This section also contains exclusive transcripts of Paul's recent interviews.
• Calendar - A unique diary of Paul Nicholls related events, as well as personal dates such as our birthdays
• Chatroom - Join your fellow Greeny subscribers in a real-time chat about you-know-who!
• Bookmarks - All the best Paul Nicholls websites, and links to other member sites
• Exclusive videos - when you become a member of Greeny you will be given access to our stash of exclusive collection of video clips

I'm going on holiday, what do I do?

You could do nothing, and all the mail from Greeny will simply pile up on your ISP's mail server ready to be collected when you return.

Or, you could set your mail preference to 'Digest' so you only get one message a day from Greeny, which might be easier to handle if you're away for a while.

Thirdly, you can change your User Preferences by selecting 'No Mail' on your Yahoo Groups membership page. This means you remain subscribed to Greeny but won't receive any mail until you return and set your User Preference back. This is probably best if you are going to be away for more than a couple of weeks and your ISP limits how much mail you can leave uncollected.

Err, no! Paul Nicholls Online and the Greeny club are entirely unofficial, run by and for fans of Paul Nicholls, we are not recognised or endorsed by Paul or any of the people who work for him. We do not have Paul's address and cannot pass on any mail to him.

I want to unsubscribe!

What! Are you mad? You don't want to talk about Paul anymore? Well, if you really must leave us, go to the Yahoo Groups User Centre and follow the instructions there. You also get these instructions with every message sent to you, so there's no excuse for not knowing!
It is also possible to unsubscribe by sending a blank Email to: "greeny-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com"
