The Production company, kudos, have this to say about their show:
Hot on the heels of the hugely successful Spooks came Hustle, a high-velocity series for BBC ONE following the fortunes of a group of London con artists. Series I made its stylish British debut to great acclaim in 2003 with series II hitting British screens in Spring 2005. Series III, featuring six new episodes, is currently filming. International interest in the sophisticated swindlers has been high, with broadcasting rights sold in territories as diverse as Italy, France, Russia, Israel, Germany and the Netherlands. The team comprises Mickey - master of the dying art of the long con and godfather of the gang, Danny – young, hungry and determined to prove he's got what it takes, Albert – the best in the business at identifying the 'mark', Ash – a seasoned con artist and expert 'fixer' and beautiful, streetwise Stacie. The first rule of the game: "You can't con an honest man".
Hustle's high velocity mould-breaking approach has the same cinematic feel as Spooks. It's original and distinctive, but above all it's never afraid to tell shamelessly entertaining stories, presenting the audience and the characters with some sexy moral dilemmas and keeping the viewers guessing right to the end.
PHWOAR! It's about time we saw more of Paul Nicholls - now we can!
The swoonsome star, last seen copping off with Julie Walters in The Canterbury Tales, is set to play an art thief called Adam Rice in the third series of the BBC's Hustle, due to air early in the new year.
The team needs to get in with his character as part of a plot to double- cross horrible DCI Yorke (Ian Puleston-Davies) - who is desperate to collar Adam.
They agree to go sky-diving with the thief (as you do) and it all goes swimmingly until a disgruntled Aussie gets in the way...
